Thanks for the inspiration Mike. I wanted to share some photos of the build, hopefully it will inspire a few more folks to take the jump into electric as well!
Great work and very clean wiring! Well done! ?
Thanks Mike. It was a journey but I’m glad I made the jump.
Hello, looks great!! Just out of curiosity, about how much did the panel cost to build?
Good question, would you like the wife version or the accurate version? 🙂
The panel and controls totaled about $400-500 Not including the sensors, 30A breaker, house wiring or tools. If you include the GFI breaker and Romex, it’s another $150-200 depending on the length of the run to your breaker panel.
I also went a little overboard on wires since I wanted all gauges and colors to be correct in the panel. I have a lot left over because I want to amazon as much as I could rather than run around locally.
I’m sure I could have gone cheeper but reallly didn’t want to run the risk of having problems in the long run.
Any other questions let me know.
I second this. It’s $100 if your wife is asking, but $500 (panel) would be the honest answer. ?
