Hi there! Looking at parts and wondering what the pros/cons are of using a pick up tube for the Water In from the coupler; something like this:
...instead of the elbow, compression, and tube?

Hi Nick,
I’m not sure if it matters. I think a good swirl helps to get an even temperature in the HLT. Will you get the same swirl with this pick up tube? I think you'll be fine. You could also bend it to get a better angel but stainless is stiff and you will most likely need to heat the metal to bend the tube.

Thanks Michael, after looking at some other builds and their reasoning I figured that was the case. Was thinking that it should be possible to further reduce the cost but the difference was minimal or not even there!
